E F Benson Day at Fletchers House 9th July 2011

The following details for the Annual E F Benson Day, on the Saturday 9th July, here in Rye., have just been agreed. To be held upstairs in the Old Oaken Room here at Fletchers House, with private use of the garden for the luncheon & Afternoon tea.

Lunch to be served from 1.00pm till approx 2.00pm, buffet Style to include the following,
A Selection of Quiches (to include Vegetarian)
Smoked Salmon & Chive, Quiche Lorraine, Roasted Pepper & Goats
Sun Blush Tomato & Mature Cheddar, Broccoli & Stilton.
Poached Salmon, Sliced Home Cooked Ham
Roasted Peppers with Cherry Tomato’s & Garlic,
Coronation Chicken
Hot minted New Potatoes
A selection of mixed salads – the following
Mixed Bean Salad, Tomato & Red Onion Salad
Chef's Wardolf Salad & Local Mixed Leaves

Full Afternoon Tea served from 4.30pm onwards, to include the following

Homemade Fruit & Plain Scones served with
Strawberry Conserve & Clotted Cream
A Selection of Sandwiches:-
Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese
Cucumber
Ham & English Mustard
Mature Cheddar Cheese
With a Selection of cakes & Tarts – as follows

Homemade Sussex Apple Tart, Lemon Meringue Pie, Chef's Lime Tarts,
Chocolate Fudge, Victoria Sponge
Carrot & Orange, Lemon Drizzle

All to be served with Tea & Coffee
